Useful information about the Calamus root and Sweet Flag plant. It's called a sedge, but really is something in between a iris and a sedge. It makes prolific bulbs that can be used to make bitters and curative tonics.

So, Tyson puts antibiotics in the meat they label as antibiotic-free, claiming that if a drug isn't on one list or another that the microbes won't treat it the same. Oh, honestly! Microbes don't read those reports, guys. It's like how different USDA programmes and departments deal w/ potatoes destined to be fries, vs. those that are for fresh consumption. One is ag, the other, hort; even though it's the same potato. It's hard to be good when they freakin' lie to you about it. Here's the thing: if you don't know who grew up that chicken, you're being lied to. Vegetables are much safer, especially when you grow your own.

Ah, if only our agricultural sector was as advnaced as Cuba's. We need smart people to consider farming a worthy occupation, because it is.

It sounds like the Argentine government continues to confuse export goods with local goods. Now would be a good time to figure it out. I, for one, think the Argentine farmers are well within their rights from a legal and moralistic standpoint. Export commodities are just tax gravy and it really is their only weapon in a fight that this dunder-head president (or her cabinet) started with their incredible tax increases. Perhaps they should discuss why they need all the extra tax money. It can only be oil or corruption -- p'bly both.

Someone was actually offended by this -- I, like most people, think it's hillarious. I told Matt about it and he said he thought he might try to get offended over it, since it seemed to be all the rage these days. He also said he might even consider suing -- you know, just for fun. The artist went on to add, "What about the children?"
